Located near Park Rapids, MN, Camp Wilderness is home to thousands of Scouts and leaders each year. The 2,400 acre outdoor classroom consists of two camps: Butler Wilderness Outpost for Cub Scouts and Camp Wilderness for Boy Scouts. In addition to hosting Cub and Boy Scout summer resident camps, Camp Wilderness hosts numerous weekend programs, winter camp programs, troop campouts, and non-Scout groups alike.
Camp Wilderness has 25 campsites, two dining facilities, indoor and outdoor classroom facilities, and a variety of cabin arrangements for indoor overnight accommodations. Camp has numerous program areas including a climbing tower, multiple shooting ranges, fishing, COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience), two waterfronts, and plenty more!
Camp also has canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, cross country skis, and snowshoes that are available for rent.
