Scouting’s Premier Leadership Training

In 1919, Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Scouting, held the first Wood Badge course at Gilwell Park to ensure that adult leaders were properly skilled to lead youth in the Scouting program. For the last century, Scouters worldwide have been continuing the legacy of taking Wood Badge to ensure that the methods of effective mentoring and leadership remain strong for the youth we serve.

It’s Scouting’s ultimate leadership training for adults. Wood Badge is a 2 weekend, 5-day action-packed program.  During the course, you’ll get to be a Scout experiencing a month’s worth of an exciting program while learning critical leadership skills. Most participants say that it has helped not only in their Scouting role but also in their professional and family life as well.

Who can attend? No matter your role, no matter the program, this course is for YOU! The course is designed for leaders involved in any of Scouting’s programs and at any level (unit, district, or council).
