Commissioners are district and council volunteers who help Scouting units succeed. They coach and consult with adult leaders of Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity teams and Venturing crews.
Commissioners help maintain the standards of the Boy Scouts of America. They also oversee the unit charter renewal plan so that each unit re-registers on time with an optimum number of youth and adult members.
The unit commissioner is a link between unit leaders and the Northern Lights Council.
Council Commissioner
The current Northern Lights Council Commissioner is Stephen Snowden, (513) 518-0620

Unit Commissioner Basic Training
In addition to the online basic training that is offered by the National Council, the Northern Lights Council offers in-person training.
For information about the next in-person Commissioner Basic Training session, contact the Council Commissioner.
College of Commissioner Science
The next college will be held in Fall of 2021. This training event will be open to all adult leaders – you don’t have to be a commissioner to attend!
