BSA Youth Protection Mission Statement
True youth protection can be achieved only through the focused commitment of everyone in Scouting. It is the mission of Youth Protection volunteers and professionals to work within the Boy Scouts of America to maintain a culture of Youth Protection awareness and safety at the national, regional, area, council, district, and unit levels.
How to complete Youth Protection Training online
To complete the training online, you will need to have an account or set up an account at https://my.scouting.org/.
When you set up your my.scouting account, you should enter your BSA membership ID so your account is linked to your official BSA records. Without entering a BSA membership ID, the completion of the training will not be recorded in your training records.

Become a Youth Protection Training Champion
Registered Scout leaders that have an unexpired YPT certificate can become a certified YPT Champion by completing an additional training course conducted by our Council YPT Champion, John Bisbee.
The course is conducted online using a video conferencing platform.
By completing this additional course, YPT Champions may then conduct in-person training sessions for other leaders. After completion of the training, participants will receive:
